“The Original" Rudy's Bar-B-Q Pigskin Preview is the official start of the college football season in San Antonio. A crowd of over 700 football fans will flood the Alamodome for this luncheon on the football field to get a preview of the Pac-12 and Big 12 conference football seasons and eat a great meal from Rudy's Bar-B-Q. This year, our special guest is ESPN College Football Analyst Brock Huard!
Huard spent three years as the starting quarterback for the University of Washington. A former Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year, he has held over 20 Washington football records and remains the Huskies’ all-time leading passer. A third round NFL pick, Brock enjoyed a six year career with the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts before heading to the broadcast booth.
He currently works as a college football analyst for ESPN’s Saturday games on the West Coast. Brock is also a studio analyst for the network. Brock will speak on various topics relating to college athletics, the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences, as well as share behind the scenes anecdotes from both his playing and broadcasting days.
There is plenty of fun on tap for attendees who decide to arrive a little early. Cornhole, field goal attempts and a flag football game with players from UTSA, Trinity University and University of the Incarnate Word will all be taking place before the luncheon kicks off at noon.
Luncheon guests will receive a commemorative Valero Alamo Bowl Nike t-shirt and have a chance to win great prizes on the Alamodome turf. This year’s raffle prizes include prize packs from ESPN as well as both the Big 12 and Pac-12. At the conclusion of the luncheon, one lucky raffle winner will take home the ultimate Valero Alamo Bowl prize pack containing two game tickets, two pre-game field passes and a one night hotel stay. Make plans to arrive by 11:30 a.m. to enjoy all the festivities!
Tickets are $60 per person or $600 for a table of ten. Please note seating is assigned and will be available at check-in day of the event.
