Game Recap
The 10th anniversary of the Alamo Bowl delivered one of the most dramatic finishes in the game’s history. Wisconsin rallied to defeat No. 14 Colorado, 31–28, in the first overtime game ever played in the Alamo Bowl.
After Colorado’s Pat Brougham missed a 45-yard field goal in overtime, Wisconsin’s Mike Allen connected from 37 yards out to secure the win. The Badgers’ comeback was fueled by a clutch 80-yard drive late in regulation, capped by quarterback Brooks Bollinger’s one-yard touchdown run with just 51 seconds remaining.
Bollinger, who earned Offensive MVP honors, threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. Running back Anthony Davis contributed 99 rushing yards and a touchdown, while linebacker Jeff Mack led the Badgers’ defense and was named Defensive MVP.
Colorado’s San Antonio native Zac Colvin came off the bench to lead two second-half touchdown drives, but Wisconsin’s resilience and special teams performance sealed the victory.
