The Valero Alamo Bowl is actively looking for talented and energetic people to be a part of our team.

Seasonal Coordinator Positions (August – January)

Each year the Bowl hires three recent college graduates for 5-month positions in communications, sales, and events. These full-time roles provide successful candidates the foundation and experience to land impressive jobs at the completion of the program. Information on our 2023 positions will be posted by March 2023, but details on our 2022 positions for referenced are here.

Content Creator Internship Program (Year-Round and Summer opportunities)
The Valero Alamo Bowl has a comprehensive digital media internship program to help guide the Bowl’s videography, graphic design, and social media efforts. This position(s) serves as our primary in-house content creator. It is geared for a San Antonio area university student who works as their schedule allows and then can commit to more full-time help in December. However, the Bowl is open to different arrangements based on skill level and availability of candidates. The description is available here for those interested in applying as we review applications as they arrive.

Off-Season Apprenticeship (February – July)
The Valero Alamo Bowl has volunteer opportunities for one or two San Antonio area college students during our off-season. Whether it’s one afternoon a week or as time allows, this is a good way for a busy college student to get experience on a variety of projects without a huge time commitment. Interested students should email Rick Hill.

Event Opportunities
Every August the Valero Alamo Bowl hosts a Volunteer Orientation to explain the Bowl’s needs to help us produce 20+ events a year. Our calendar starts at the start of football season with our PNC Pigskin Preview and runs through Bowl Week. To receive more information on how to get involved, please email Julie Baker.

Annually, the he Valero Alamo Bowl has several openings for high school seniors, college students and recent graduates who want to gain experience during their holiday break. Those opportunities include:

  • Micro-Internship: Are you a college student who will be in San Antonio the last 2-3 weeks of December? With these positions, you will receive a wide range of experiences in event management, hospitality services, fan relations, and public relations. • Bowl Week Volunteer: Need a break from family? Volunteer for the Bowl Week to help with our events or communications team. Email Julie Baker what days you are available December 24-30 and she can try and match you up with a position that fits your interests.
  • Digital Media Team: This group is charged with capturing behind-the-scenes experiences from fans and players participating in Bowl Week activities, contributing content to the Valero Alamo Bowl social media accounts, and assisting with media operations. So if you have experience capturing video, shooting photos, or crafting content, submit your application early Fall.
