Bank of Texas Continues Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship Support

The Valero Alamo Bowl has teamed up once again with Bank of Texas as its presenting sponsor of the Game of the Week digital content series and the Touchdowns for Financial Literacy initiative.

As part of this collaboration, Bank of Texas will contribute $125 for every touchdown scored in the featured Game of the Week matchups during the 2026 season. These contributions will directly benefit the Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship Program, which annually awards more scholarships than any other bowl game in the country.

Through this partnership, Bank of Texas will fund two $7,500 scholarships awarded to deserving San Antonio-area high school seniors—part of the 170+ scholarships and $1.28 million awarded by the Bowl this year.

“Supporting education and financial literacy aligns perfectly with our mission,” said Parker Hensley, Bank of Texas Market President. “We’re excited to team up with the Valero Alamo Bowl to invest in the futures of local students while celebrating the excitement of college football.”

Since the program’s inception in 2000, the Valero Alamo Bowl has awarded $13 million to 2,102 high-achieving students, and this new initiative with Bank of Texas will expand those opportunities while inspiring the next generation of leaders in San Antonio.
