The Bowl Interns Give Thanks & Recipes

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. In the spirit of the holiday, the interns at the Valero Alamo Bowl discuss what they are thankful for this year, while also sharing their favorite ways to enjoy their leftover Thanksgiving turkey!

Will Hoven, Event Coordinator: “I’m thankful to be returning to my home state of New Jersey to see my family. I make it back about once a year, and nothing beats a good home cooked meal from my parents. While I’ve come to learn breakfast tacos are the big thing in San Antonio, nothing beats the bagels in NJ. After Turkey Day I’m planning on stopping by our local bakery back home to make some Ham and Turkey Everything Bagel Sandwiches!”

Ray Silva, Ticket Sales Coordinator: “I’m thankful for the chance to both do what I’m passionate for (sell tickets) while having the chance to connect with our longtime season ticket holders. The stories I hear reiterate how much of a family tradition the Valero Alamo Bowl has become for so many San Antonians like myself. Bring the best of both worlds together with some Turkey Breakfast Tacos to enjoy the morning after the big meal.”

Brianne Wigley, Communications Coordinator: “I’m thankful for football, and being able to watch a lot of it over the long weekend with my family before bowl season! If you find yourself with more leftover turkey than you can handle try throwing it all into a Pot Pie for a large meal that can feed the whole family!”
