There is a lot of excitement for the 25th Anniversary Valero Alamo Bowl game against #13 Stanford and #15 TCU on December 28th. Leading up to that exciting day will be plenty of fanfare to keep fans entertained and ready for the big game!

Rudy’s Bar-B-Q Pep Rally – Tuesday, December 26th at 5 pm Arneson River Theatre
The Rudy’s Bar-B-Q Pep Rally is one of the most exciting events of Bowl Week. The head coaches, football players, bands and cheerleaders of TCU and Stanford show their colors as they face off in a spirited pep rally.
This is a must-see event during Bowl Week that gives fans a chance to see the players and bands make their grand entrance on San Antonio’s famous river barges. While fans wear their favorite team’s colors, the cheerleaders from both TCU and Stanford will lead their respective fan bases in cheers to show their school pride. The bands will participate in a “battle of the bands” to see which fan base can cheer the loudest during this fun event.
This event is free and open to the public.
PrimeSport Kickoff Luncheon – Wednesday, December 27th at Noon Marriott Rivercenter
Before the teams hit the field, everyone comes together at the PrimeSport Kickoff Luncheon. More than 1,000 spirited football fans come to experience the anticipation and festive atmosphere surround the big game. Fans are treated to first-hand insight from Gary Patterson of TCU and David Shaw of Stanford, along with team captains.

Valero Alamo Bowl Bash – Wednesday, December 27th at 7 pm Marriott Rivercenter
The night before the big game, fans can celebrate Bowl Week in style at the Valero Alamo Bowl Bash. Held at the Marriott Rivercenter, guests get to experience Texas-sized hospitality with five gourmet action food stations, themed to celebrate the Valero Alamo Bowl’s 25th anniversary, along with open bars, fan interaction activities, live music and casino games with chances to win great prizes.

Valero Alamo Bowl Fan Zone – Thursday, December 28th at 2 pm Sunset Station
Before the bowl game, fans can participate in pregame festivities in the Historic Sunset Station (one block North of the main Alamodome enterance). The Valero Alamo Bowl Fan Zone includes a variety of interactive games that encourage fan participation and challenge their football skills and agility.
Enjoy great food and drink while you listen to music and prepare for the big game. Not only are there interactive games but you can also get your face painted as well as purchase an official game program and merchandise. Fan Zone is free to the public, meaning there are no excuses not to come see us on game day!
