Saturday’s marquee Pac-12 game features Cal (4-1) at #13 Oregon (3-1) in prime time as the Golden Bears look to bounce back from their first loss of the season. #20 Arizona State (4-1) won 24-17 and moved into the AP Top 25 while Cal fell out of the rankings.
The Big 12 is shuffling up the AP Top 25 as well, as #21 Oklahoma State (4-1) joins #6 Oklahoma (4-0) and #11 Texas (3-1) after defeating previously ranked Kansas State. All three teams will face conference opponents away from home, but perhaps the most intriguing game of the week is Texas at West Virginia.
The Mountaineers (3-1) don’t have the same offensive firepower they had when they beat Texas 42-41 in Austin last season. However, the Longhorns better not look past the Neal Brown led West Virginia squad in anticipation of their battle against Oklahoma on October 11 at the Cotton Bowl.
After beating Iowa State (2-2) on a last-minute field goal, Baylor (4-0) could jump into next week’s Top 25 with a win at Kansas State (3-1).
