SBC SOUTHWESTERN BELL ALAMO BOWL FAN ZONE HEADLINES PREGAME ACTIVITIES FOR 2001 SYLVANIA ALAMO BOWL DESCRIPTION: The SBC Southwestern Bell Alamo Bowl Fan Zone will be the gathering place before the 2001 SYLVANIA Alamo Bowl. Local fans, alumni groups and the university bands will all join together at Sunset Station to celebrate before the game. This interactive area will include over 40,000 square feet of free activities including a climbing wall, bungee run, quarterback toss and other games courtesy of SBC Southwestern Bell. The Fan Zone also includes the Miller Lite and Texas Adelante TEXperience that includes two semi-trucks that form one 7,225 foot tented pavilion featuring interactive sports games, boxing ring, replica racing car and a mini-brewery tour. Musical acts Reckless Kelly and Ram Herrera will also perform pregame during the SBC Southwestern Bell Alamo Bowl Fan Zone. WHERE: Sunset Station WHEN: Saturday, December 29 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. WHO: Over 7,500 fans are expected to attend the Fan Zone before the game.
