Take Your Best Shot to Win One Million Dollars

This 10 day hole-in-one contest is expected to draw more than 1,500 participants who will take shots at the green from 125-yards away for a chance to win hundreds of prizes.

Additionally, the top two shots each day will also qualify for the finals that are held on Sunday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who makes a hole-in-one during the finals will win $1,000,000.

If no aces are recorded during the finals, the person who lands their ball closest to the pin will win a trip for two to the Caribbean courtesy of American Airlines.

Proceeds will benefit the Valero Alamo Scholarship Program. This year the Valero Alamo Bowl will award a record 55 Bexar County high school students $7,500 scholarships bringing the bowl’s 15-year scholarship total to 452 students sharing $1.64 million.

About the Bowl

The Valero Alamo Bowl is an annual post-season collegiate game played in the 65,000 seat Alamodome in San Antonio. The game is annually broadcast on ESPN and features teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences.

From 2014-2019, six bowls will host the conference champions, at-large teams and semi-finals games as part of the new College Football Playoff. The Valero Alamo Bowl is now the #1 bowl outside of that structure and will feature the top available teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences.

Last year a standing room only crowd of 65,918 attended the Valero Alamo Bowl to watch Oregon’s win over Texas marking the game’s second highest attendance of all-time, third sellout in a row and the sixth capacity crowd in the last eight years.

This season’s Valero Alamo Bowl will kick off on Friday, January 2 at 5:45 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale at the Alamodome Southwest Box Office and online through alamobowl.com or Ticketmaster. To get up-to-the-minute information, follow the Valero Alamo Bowl on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@valeroalamobowl) or visit www.alamobowl.com.
