This year’s scholarship application window has now closed. All winners have been selected and were be honored at the H-E-B Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, December 17 at the Security Service Federal Credit Union Event Center. The students will also be recognized on the field during the first quarter of the Valero Alamo Bowl on December 30.

Scholarships were awarded based on academic achievement, teacher recommendations, involvement in extracurricular activities, participation in varsity sports, honors received and a personal narrative. The program ensures that at least one winner is selected from every participating San Antonio area public and private high school that meets all criteria.

With the announcement of this year’s class, the Valero Alamo Bowl has now supported over 2,000 high school scholarship recipients, continuing its long-standing tradition of investing in local students and their futures.
