1999 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship Tickets are Sold Out

After a rush of ticket orders following Texas’ 58-7 victory last night over Texas Tech, the San Antonio Bowl Association has soldout of its ticket allotment to the 1999 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship.

“College football fans have again shown how much they enjoy traveling to San Antonio and San Antonio will welcome them with open arms,” said Derrick Fox, Executive Director of the SYLVANIA Alamo Bowl. “It’s great that both times San Antonio has held this event, the game has soldout.”

The game, which will be held on December 4 at 2:30 p.m., will feature the University of Texas, the Big 12 South division winner, versus the Big 12 North division winner.

With Nebraska’s 41-15 win over Kansas State, they can clinch the Nouth by beating Colorado on the road next Saturday. If Nebraska loses and Kansas State beats Missouri, then Kansas State will represent the Nouth division in the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship.

In the 1997 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship, 64,824 fans saw Nebraska beat Texas A&M in the Alamodome on their way to a Co-National Championship. The 1996 and 1998 games were held in St. Louis. For additional information or to schedule an interview with Derrick Fox, please call Rick Hill at the SYLVANIA Alamo Bowl at (210) 704-6388.
