The Valero Alamo Bowl announced its officers who will oversee the 2026 Valero Alamo Bowl and its Community Festival of Events.
Jeff Rummel has been selected to succeed John Eadie as Chair of the non-profit organization’s Board of Directors. Rummel retired as San Antonio Office Managing Partner for EY in June following a 37-year career, during which he oversaw significant growth in the San Antonio market, more than doubling EY’s local headcount during his five-year leadership tenure.
A board member of the Valero Alamo Bowl since 2021, Rummel graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas. Rummel has been active in a number of local organizations including Alamo Area Boy Scouts of America, Catholic Charities as well as several state wide organizations promoting business in San Antonio and Texas.
“Through EY’s partnership and my time on the Board, I’ve seen firsthand the level of consistency and execution that makes the Valero Alamo Bowl successful,” said Rummel. “The focus is to build on that foundation, so we continue to deliver a premier game while strengthening the Bowl’s impact and ensuring it remains a strong national showcase for San Antonio.”
