Blair was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas before moving to San Antonio in 2018 to attend Trinity University. She graduated in May of this year with a degree in marketing, and began her tenure with the Valero Alamo Bowl in August.
Blair has been busy planning several of our upcoming events, but she still took the time to answer some questions for us.
What is your favorite thing about living in San Antonio?
“San Antonio has a very San Antonio feel to it. The city is just so unique and it feels like a small city within a big city. The community is close-knit for being so big.”
What path led you to this job?
“I had several internships throughout college, and as graduation got closer my professors at Trinity really helped me with trying to find different jobs. Eventually they suggested this one to me and I was fortunate enough to land here.”
What has been your favorite part about working for the Valero Alamo Bowl?
“Just how much fun we have and how much we do. It’s more responsibility than I’ve ever had at any other job before, but I like that we have fun with all our work and all the different events. Every event we do is a lot of fun to plan too.”
What do you like about event planning?
“I like making people want to come to events. I want to pursue a career in marketing more than event planning, so I really love the process of hyping up events and promoting them. I like giving people that wow factor that makes them want to be there.”
