Expect the Unexpected

The end of the regular college football season featured several Instant Classics including two big home rivalry game winners in Oklahoma State and Michigan as well as a near Auburn upset of Alabama.

Here’s how are two partner conferences finished:

So what will happen with a full slate of championship games this weekend? Our guess: expect the unexpected. For all the ups and downs last weekend, it didn’t have many surprise winners.

Pop some popcorn and tune into what we know will be big finishes and nail-biting matchups starting Friday in Las Vegas at 5 p.m. CST as the Oregon Ducks will battle it out with the Utah Utes to become the Pac-12 Champions. The winner will earn its spot in the Rose Bowl.

From our Alamodome offices, we’ll be watching the Pac-12 game while peeking out during timeouts to cheer UTSA on to its first conference championship as they take on Western Kentucky at 6 p.m.

Then Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CST in Arlington the Big 12 championship game will take place between Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Baylor Bears. Buckle up!
